I am pleased to report that we officially began raising support for Religious Affections Ministries this past Sunday!
Becky, Caleb, and I were at Grace Baptist Church in Waterford, MI Sunday morning. I presented the ministry and taught during the Sunday School hour and then preached in the morning service. It was a joy to be in this church where I served in directing the music for a summer ten years ago!
In the evening we were at First Baptist Church in Troy, MI. Again, it was a joy to be in the church where I grew up and that had so much influence upon my life and ministry. I presented the ministry and preached “Why We Use Music in Worship.” I received many positive comments after the service expressing how helpful the message was and what a need for this kind of ministry there is. One man in his early 30s said to me, “I could have really used something like this when I was in high school.” He said that he would like to personally support this ministry because of how needed it is. It was a great encouragement to me that the Lord is in this.
We are attempting to raise around $2500 per month in financial support, and by the Lord’s grace we have about 20% already raised! Please continue to pray for us as we present this ministry in churches and seek to raise support.
If you would like for me to present this ministry in your church, please let me know.
